Jeanne Herman: Report on flooding and federal loans. In Lemon Valley the road needs to be elevated. Water comes into the lake and all the surrounding land is almost the same level. A construction company may contributing to the flooding in Lemon Valley. The Gov. viewed the area. Last night there was a meeting at the school. Twice as many people came than could be seated in the elementary school. A report will be made and distributed.
Jeanne Herman The Land Bill has a wilderness portion. We need to support Republicans in Congress and in the future seek a land bill, returning land to Nevada. Washoe County Commissioners are traveling to Washington DC on tax dollars.
Tim Stoffel: The Washoe County Commission has said they are waiting to see what the state does on exotic animals. The state law would put excessive restrictions on exotic animals. There is a rumor that the Washoe County Animal Control Board may be dissolved. This would do a disservice to all residents of Washoe County.
John Potash 775 250 7625 email@example.com Exotic Animals The Washoe County Commission will be discussing new laws to regulate and tax animals. Watch for notices of future Washoe County meetings.
Report on the new laws on exotic animals. Bill AB 238 attacks private ownership and future ownership of exotic animals. Public safety is not the main issue concerning this new law. The law will start in the Assembly. The NAC should deal with exotic animals. Most counties and cities already have rules on the books. All members are encouraged to contact all assembly members. The county is postponing their law until the state deals with exotic animals.
Report Edward Mento: Last year Congress passed Justice Against State Sponsored Terrorism Bill. This bill is now being lobbied against by foreign nations. Nevada is ground zero, Saudi Arabia is spending 1 ½ million a month on P R programs for A YEAR AND A HALF. One group is in Nevada and one is in Roseville. They are advocating a change to present laws, stating that US servicemen could be arrested or sued. This is not true. Our country will take care of you. In combat people die and the US pays for deaths. We pay reparations. Veterans are being told they could be sued. Vets are being misled. This PR Group is offering money and trips to Washington D.C. to tell lobby legislators that the present law needs to be changed. There is Evidence that Saudi officials helped 9 11 Hijackers. Host nations are being held responsible for terrorism. Firms are being paid to recruit vets and pay them to lobby Congress for Saudi Arabia. McCain and Graham support this change in the law.
